Podiatry
“Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.”- Abraham Lincoln
Podiatry is the treatment of disorders of the ankle and foot. Podiatrists are skilled physicians who prevent, diagnose, and treat abnormal conditions of the feet. They can also correct deformities, relieve pain, and treat infections on this area of the body. Quite a few conditions may arise on feet such as calluses, bunions, sores that do not heal and other bumps that may form in the foot. Other factors causing foot pain may include diabetes, arthritis, pregnancy and obesity. Such ailments can be treated through noninvasive or minimally invasive procedures or surgery to restore the foot back to health.
