Southwest - Give Kids A Smile - Dental Screenings

Southwest Community Health Center celebrated "National Give Kids A Smile Day" by hosting three free dental screenings events across Bridgeport, CT. These events took place at Roosevelt School, Read School and Curiale School for students grades Pre-K through 8. Students were given a free dental screening, taught about the importance of proper oral health and given goodie bags filled with items to maintain proper oral hygiene. 

Each student was given a detailed report of any findings as a result of their screening to share with a parent/guardian and options for follow up visits. In total, Southwest was able to offer screenings to over 400 students through this initiative and have been requested to host similar events at other Bridgeport area schools. We look forward to providing healthy smiles that shine as bright as the personalities of this next generation.
